The Las Vegas National Sports Complex is a proposed multibillion-dollar project that would be built on 485 acres east of Interstate 15, just northeast of the M Resort in Henderson. Developers envision the project launching with a 17,500-seat, $650 million indoor arena, followed by a 25,000-seat open-air stadium, a 63,500-seat domed stadium and a baseball stadium.

really want this to happen. would be just a short drive away from potato's place.

probably too much and a bit optimistic, especially the 63k stadium.

we want to see a MLS team bad. NBA would be a disaster. NHL might work.

NFL and MLB too rich for the vegas blood.

I'm a hopeless romantic Muddyballs. That's the gist of it.

I get that. Hell, I went to U of T to study Astrophysics. It sure wasn't because I was interested in learning radial velocity formulae. It was wonder and human spirit.

Of course a cynic and pragmatist would say that the human race has spent trillions of dollars on space programs and what do we have to show? A few moon rocks? There are some needs down at ground level that could stand some funding.

I sure don't buy that line of thinking. At least I find it WAY overly simplistic. You might as well say get rid of music because what is the practical use of it?

Humans need to be human. At least I do.

Dunno exactly where I stand today.

have you all noticed that there are not too many here at sbr who are married. brock is one of the rare ones. you gotta give him credit. are there even 5 sbr guys married right now? i doubt it. Brock is the only one i know here that is currently married.

You know why we're not married? because us gamblers in general would make horrible husbands. we are selfish, inconsiderate, we gamble, (we basically have an addiction) we're irresponsible. we can't take care of our families. hell, we can't even take care of ourselves. what woman would want to be associated with a guy like this for the rest of her life. gamblers are kinda like alcoholics, druggies, etc.

We would make horrible dads/husbands. of course i am only talking about the majority, not all of us.

The most incredible thing of all this is that Brock has been able to hold on to her for 12 yrs. UNREAL. how does he do it? Living with one of the sickest gamblers on SBR day in and day out and she's still there? wow. Brock.. don't ever let go of this one. she's a keeper. tough to find a woman that'll put up with all that..

BTW, IF brock ever made a vid with her, he'd be in the HOF now for sure, with no questions asked. Boy, would that be classic. Brock and the wife talking and kissing on camera, and wife saying.. i love you brock landers..

Salud.

What, they ended the space program? Did they decide all that empty space and gasses was just too boring? :dunno:

60 Minutes did a feature on that this past season. It's a drag what happened to that industry in that area but it's one of those things where I do not come away as sympathetic as I think I'm supposed to.

So a bunch of people may be reduced to living like me. I mean, probably not. It's an absolute worst case scenario. But maybe.

What am I supposed to do? Cry?

:dunno:

:lmao: great post

Yeah. This popular knee-jerk reaction ("oh fuck space, save the endangered species and feed the starving kids instead") is understandable. But very few people actually mean it. If they did they'd donate every last bit of income they don't need to fokken United Way (I give $120 a year) and/or they'd drop everything they're doing to volunteer full-time at Greenpeace. People are all perfect little good samaritans, as long as someone else pays for it/does the work for them.

Bunch of self-righteous foks, the lot of you.

I think we've seen pretty much everything we possibly can with the current means of transport...

The aim of 100YSS is to formulate plans to send humans to in interstellar destination -- such as Proxima Centauri, a little over 4 light-years from Earth -- within the next century.

But Richard Obousy, President and Co-Founder of Icarus Interstellar, introduced the Vacuum to Antimatter-Rocket Interstellar Explorer System (VARIES) -- an unmanned prototype starship -- to Discovery News readers on Monday as one of the projects Icarus is working on to make our interstellar dreams come true.

With the help of the stunning artwork by Adrian Mann, take a look at how this futuristic technology may be able to unlock antimatter from the vacuum of space and use it to propel the ultimate interstellar spaceship.

Hey guys, I may be able to unlock antimatter. Give me all your monies and me and my descendants will give it an honest try.
