Random thoughts

how many lbs were you allowed?

LBs dont matter just # of fish that are keepers

2 snapper per person ( have to be 24"s or bigger) I think, not sure about keeper size

Beeliners which are a small version of snapper you can keep a shit load of, we only caught a few

3 grouper per person

we got on some sharks but moved in search of more grouper ( 1 per person I think) after reading about eating shark I threw it away....
they pee through their skin and if not cleaned quick the meat taste foul.

caught a small Maui Maui ( can keep shit load of them)

also a 3' King Mackeral while trolling out to sea, I gave it away, not a fan of it

had something snap 3 guys lines w/in about 10 minutes... probably an Amberjack but their not in season

and caught a buzz on the long ride back in:bugs:

Those are some awesome pics. And the fact that your son was there just added to the joy.

On days like that you just gotta be happy that you didn't pull out.

no doubt

he caught more than anyone on boat
the look on his face when his first fish got on was priceless... it was a HOLY SHIT I'm about to be pulled in look :hahaha:
I pulled up his first but he pulled up the rest... he wasnt expecting it to be like pulling up a 100LB weight from 130' below.

got a vid of him reeling up the biggest snapper caught:lol: ...
dont know how to put it on here though

Today afternoon I had lunch of three slices of pizza in a street cafe. I shared it with a street dog. What well behave animal, I don't believe it was trained cause it looked like a nasty street dog. It came next to me to ask for food. I gave it a bite chunk only if it sat down. Also if it got too close to me I'd make it back off and sit and only then he'll get his chunk. He quickly learned. I had a bite, he had a bite chunk. Best lunch in a while. I'm slowly becoming pro-animals.

When it noticed I had no more, it went to a puddle of water nearby and drank. Then it turned around to my direction as I was getting up to leave, it looked up at me and we just met eyes for a second and it kept walking. I'm pretty sure he thanked me there.

:lmao:

Hail causes nearly one billion dollars (U.S.) in damage to property and crops annually. The costliest United States hailstorm: Denver, Colorado, July 11, 1990. Total damage was 625 million dollars (U.S.).

I'm fascinated and afraid of large hail storms. I think it's because of that one. it was scary and we were home, in a large apartment building. It would suck to be driving when it comes. So whenever I see large rain drops hitting my windshield I'm thinking oh oh, is it hot enough for large hail?

I guess around 20 years ago, there used to be a lot of problems with flooding here on days when it would rain only a few inches. The ground is so hard that it doesn't soak up the rain; they didn't have proper flood channels; and most of it would run off. But they fixed it now. Not as much of a problem.

ah it makes sense now, flash flood in cities can be dangerous

the central american thunderstorms can move in fast from the jungles, about a month ago I saw a flash flood within the city. the city's channels are in such bad conditions and are hardly maintained that they create dangerous situations themselves (with the accumulation of garbage etc). it started raining heavily, so much that all cars had to stop with zero visibility. within 3-5 minutes, there was a big stream coming down on the street, i decided to not wait and got on half the car on the medium so i could go through. it quickly gathered so much forced it was yanking the bricks from the street, like a full on river on the side of the street. i was around the middle. for a second it looked very scary. later in the news they showed dozens of cars were dragged around the city, whole neighborhoods were flooded, and even a death.

I am borrowing a car for the day. I am going to have to park it in the back of all the parking lots... It is one of the 1st generation new VW 'Beetle's'. Bright yellow. I need to pick up some bottled water and some charcoal. Just goes to show you how far I will go to BBQ... I will drive a yellow Volkswagon Beetle if I have to.

Years ago I was spending time with a girl who had one of those and there is no denying you feel completely gay in it but they actually handle pretty friggin well and the acoustics are pretty awesome.
