Random thoughts

No but seriously man, I really am amazed at what morons some people are.

Case in point: I am driving my car into my underground parking. This involves driving up to a little key-thing outside the door, then you open the door with your key and you drive in there. Very standard sort of set up.

So I open the door in the usual manner and start driving towards it. Suddenly, as I am just a few feet from the entrance to the parking, some guy from inside steps right into the overhead doorway which I have just opened.

I am damn close to hitting him. I can't see him coming. I can't see through bricks. He doesn't peek around the corner first. He is just suddenly right there. I have to jump on the brake.

Dude looks surprised, scared. I can see him sucking in a startled breath.

What a moron.

I promise you, the opening of that door is never a divine event. It always means someone is coming. And there is a man door right there of course. Dude had to walk right past it to get to the overhead door. But I guess an open overhead door was just too enticing compared to the effort of opening a man door which would have involved using an arm.

What a cockroach.

Dude was so surprised that someone was there. I can picture him now. I wish I could go back and punch that surprised moron face of his.

Meanwhile, MSN homepage has a feature about the 25 hottest athletes. The teaser pic is Michelle Kwan which gets me suspicious so I go straight to the thumbnails. Serena Williams in near the top.

Look, if you aren't going to be serious about it, I'm not reading your list.

For some reason the water at my office tastes funny to me and makes me feel bad when I drink it.

So I bring many bottle from home from the tap. My home is 2 blocks from my office and within 5 blocks of 3 different places I've lived the last 5 years all of which had perfectly fine water. But not here. I don't get it.

Do all the locations have well water or city provided water? If city water then the only explanation are the pipes in your office. If the office is an older building and has iron pipes there is calcium buildup causing odor and taste or one or the other. If the pipes are all the same then the only other possible problem is the amount of water used at the office. If the water sits in the lines for long periods of time it can taint a little.

Then again your office could simply be hooked up to re-use instead of potable water source.

Man, I have enough problems to deal with. If I had to devote time to inner ear scratching it would get real ugly, boys.

The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog (ABBB) is an American rare dog breed, believed to have been developed in the Alapaha River region of southern Georgia.[1] They are recognized for intelligence, athleticism, and a protective nature. If raised correctly, they are noted for excellence in obedience, agility, weight-pulling,

This established strain of dog has resulted from the generations old breeding programs of several people namely Papa Buck Lane and William Chester of Georgia and Cecil Evans and Kenny Houston of Florida. The breed has been known by a series of names such as Otto, Cowdog, Silver Dollar, and Catahoula Bulldog. This type of dog was in danger of extinction until a small group of Southerners in 1979 in an attempt to rescue the Ol Tymey Plantation Bulldog of the South founded the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Association giving it the aforementioned name and dedicating them to preserving this exceptional type of dog. They set about to perpetuate the breed and to establish a standard in which to breed from.

Even though the Alapahas job is harsh and their lives are sometimes shortened by performing their duties, they remain extremely loving and loyal family pets. They really love children and are sensitive to their owners demands. They are affectionate and loyal, and they thrive best when treated as members of the family. The Alapaha is a very confident dog and has no fear of people. They are very easy to train. If socialized and raised properly they will be very protective of their home and master.
