I always find it dubious when it is said that Columbus discovered America. There were after all millions of people living there already. Like I went to Boston in May but I don't claim I discovered America on the trip.

And the silly people of both Barcelona and Genoa claim Columbus.

I wonder if Columbus ever walked up to a native whose family had been living here for countless generations and tried to say, "I just discovered this land. Lookit me, I discovered it."
