I'm sure you could find cheap rooms, but food is not cheap anywhere near the strip. Of course poker rooms will comp you $1 an hour, which doesn't mean much when a sandwich is $17.
There are many options though, and with a little good sense and discipline you can find a routine that works for you.
Yeah man you were a ton of help when we were discussing hands when I was playing live full time before, and I appreciate that. :hattip:

Vegas is a consideration. Any sites/avenues you suggest for cheap lodging?

Yep poker players get dog crap for comps lol, I'm used to the $1/hr everywhere in Pa.

nowadays I get a ton of free offers, so haven't really looked.
You can go the route of Budget Suites or something similar.
But I would look at casinos downtown, North LV or just out of the way. Consider border towns like Mesquite or Laughlin.
There are likely places that will comp a room, if you play regularly. I know even in CO they had a stay n play promo.
I would get something cheap, look around, talk to regulars, and expand from there

Thats hilarious Reno! Classic.

I was reading the reviews on Budget Suites and not sure....it'd suck to play all night (I HAVE TO play nights) and come home to a bunch of noise....and not be able to sleep. Any other recommendations?

Virty, Cali has stopped by once or twice in the past year or so. Good to see you around man.

Yeah I'll be on the hunt for something similar man. The reviews are rough, the big things are the thin walls/noise and the crime. I know I know, you get what you pay for though. It'll still be in consideration if push comes to shove; I should be at about $15k then with lowered UC still coming in (they have a stimulus that's been nice but expires in September) so I have options but I have to keep things tight.

I'd go for traditional rentals but good luck getting those with no job....

It's probably not that bad, It certainly was fine 20 years ago :dunno: but the degradation is on the rise everywhere, especially LV.

I'd say get a room for a week in a cheap casino, with or near a poker room. Maybe on the Boulder Highway where Plommer stayed  Or any similar area. Use that time to look around
