I know MrX you're a big fan of what's going on in Seattle! Think in that concrete jungle you can find a nice peaceful spot like this? :dunno:

A recent HS graduate was killed last night! The cops tried to assist but sounds like CHOP had their own medical team rush him to the hospital but he didn't make it! No worries though, probably just need a little more practice! I wonder if they have a fire dept. set up yet? :dunno:

Not sure how you want me to respond to this. Obviously I don't want people getting killed inside or outside of the protest zone. Sounds like the victim was evacuated before the police arrived on the scene, so I'll have to wait on more details to see if more could have been done to save him.

Yes, I support what they're doing. I think everything that has led to this and the current situation is pretty fucked up mind you. Don't mistake my support as a belief that this place is some Utopian ideal. A lot of communities are in a no win situation and they're trying to do something about it. It's probably not going to go great.

Fair enough and TY MrX, but if you can answer this, what do you see as the end game in what they are doing to call it a success? If I'm correct I believe less than 10% of Seattle's population is black so looks like these protesters saw an opportunity existed!

I'm not sure what you're getting at with the 10% thing. You'll have to make that clearer to me.

I'm in no position to define success for these communities, but I think they are right to be demanding a big change. I think it's atrocious the lack of opportunity that a huge portion of Americans are born into. Terrible inequality of education combined with way too much focus on incarceration leads to very few options. Very few options leads to a violently contentious relationship with law enforcement that doesn't well serve either side. It doesn't have to be this way.

I think there are probably multiple solutions to a better path. I couldn't hardly be further removed from their experiences so I'll trust in their leadership as to what changes might lead to some sort of success. They deserve some control over the situation for a change. The policies that got us here are not okay.

Meaning these people main reason for holding part of a city hostage wasn't Black Lives Matter!

Really! Well when people have kids (who shouldn't) who are selfish in thinking of themselves and not having a together family upbringing, who's at fault for less opportunites, the fuking parents!!!

Terrible inequality of education combined with way too much focus on incarceration leads to very few options.
LOL! I'm not removed from Camden, NJ! You will see the leadership of that city's schools had to be taken over by the state of NJ because they squandered the money given to them! Combination of being corrupt/clueless!

I couldn't hardly be further removed from their experiences so I'll trust in their leadership as to what changes might lead to some sort of success.
You do know Seattle just like most major US cities have been run by liberal Dem leadership for years (decades)! So how long are you going to trust their leadership can get it right, 2030!

They deserve some control over the situation for a change.
I agree! It's a no-win scenario if Trump goes into Seattle to take control! Sounds like he might just wait it out! Maybe the Summer of Love extends in the Fall! As my father always said, "no good deed goes unpunished"!

MrX I think you may have found yourself in the middle of a good ol fashion forum battle with MrMonkey, I'm not sure :dunno:

I said what I had to say! I tired out posting today and fed up like the old lady in the Nashville liquor store! MrsM too!I MrsM was looking at small homes in Italy the other night! She might have been semi-drunk! I think posting about what we eat tonight might be all I have left in the tank!
