Random thoughts

Irregardless is a word and has been for over 100 years. Do people not understand what it means? I choose use the word "regardless" instead, but you go right ahead and use whatever vocabulary you want. It bothers me when people care about grammar and vocabulary short of not being able to understand what another person is communicating, the purpose of language.

Our country is getting dumbed down wit people who cannot construct a proper sentence, and Boner could care less.*

*yes that was on purpose

Boner-did you quit smoking?

So this guy named Mike shares a family name with me and he thinks he owns my email address, so he gives it out to people and they email him (me) stuff, mostly related to business dealings, contractor invoices and such. This has been happening for years, maybe even a decade. For a while I thought it was just sophisticated spam, but the emails' content is always way too targeted and genuine.

Over the years, I've replied to those emails a bunch of times to tell people they had the wrong mrainville, to no avail.

I finally know who he is, 'cause today he forwarded himself (me) a photo he took with ex-Canadiens Kirk Muller.

I replied "Nice photo, thanks!" and I'm pretty positive that that'll fly right over his head.

Googling his work email address yields zero results, which in my world is highly unusual.

But it all makes sense now. All these facts contribute to the notion that Mike is just way out of his depth when it comes to operating a computer.

Good-looking man though. Great smile.

I have a buddy who is B.hammon when his last name is Hammond. Terrible decision on his part and by now he's probably changed it. So naturally [email protected] or whatever domain used would get TONS of emails targeted to my buddy. At some point this B.Hammond guy started replying all and CC'ing our B.Hammon(d). He'd reply things like "sounds like fun, but I can't make it." Or "cute kid, congratulations to you and the wife!"

We still include him on mass emails just to keep him in the loop.
