Random thoughts

I was just reflecting on the old TV show The Waltons for some reason. I don't know how many people here would be familiar with it. Wholesome family show that did over 200 episodes all through the 70's and into the 80's.

I was just trying to remember the names of the kids. I think there were about 7 of them. There was John-boy of course. Everybody remembers John-boy. But after that I get hazy. All I can come up with are Sue-Ellen, Jim-Bob, Pablo and Shaneequa.

I may not have that exactly right.

Paid $475.00 for a crown yesterday at the dentist.

I have dental insurance too.

I would not like to be immortal. You would have to live forever and forever is a long time. I just imagine that at some point in the course of forever, you would fall down a chasm and end up hopelessly pinned or otherwise get stuck in some kind of horrible position - and be stuck like that for a million years or whatever. Ugh!

No sir, when it comes to being immortal, I say NO THANKS!

I was working in a customers home today, mind you a very nice house with fancy expensive decrorations everywhere.
well, there was a little heal snipping mutt following me around all day.

he followed me in the house at some point this morning after pissing on every tool I set down outside.

this afternoon the customers son comes to me and ask if thats my dog. Like I would bring a dog to a jobsite and let it run around a customers house:down:

now I'm just waiting on the call from the customer telling me that the stray dog has pissed on every imported piece of furniture in thier house:grin:

If you were immortal could you regenerate limbs? Because if you got into an accident playing on the train tracks, being just a head on a wheelchair couldn't be much fun either...

Sounds good.

On a different topic:

I saw a little toad in my underground parking lot earlier. Just a little guy sitting there. I don't know why he would be down there; doesn't seem like a good habitat for a toad at all.

I can't see him living for long. He does not have an evasive temperment. I walked right up to him and he just sat there. Nor does he have the sense to sit against a wall where at least he wouldn't get squashed; he was right in the middle of someone's parking spot.

It seems inevitable that he will get run over. If he's lucky enough to avoid that, I guess he would starve. Now I'm wishing I had picked him up and put him outside in the grass. If I had it to do over again, that's what I would do.

But for some reason my instincts guided me to not interfere. Apparently I live under the influence of some combination of the-Prime-Directive-meets-Carlos-Casteneda. What's that about?

But I am thinking about that little toad a lot. I am quite sensitive sometimes.
