The question is, how many times do I need to make the same mistake before I learn something?

At the end of each night I shut down my computer. I just shut it down and save tabs.

Next morning, I start it up and go about my business. I am not a morning person. I am dragging my ass around, taking a leak, getting dressed etc. Early morning, I am just not the super-cool awesome dude that gamelive is so accustomed to seeing.

Meanwhile the computer is patiently booting up, restoring all my tabs.

About once every couple weeks, I will have been looking at something on YouTube the previous night, so that tab gets restored. And whatever I was looking at last will suddenly start to play.

It's always the same. I'm dragging my ass, eyes barely open and of course thinking I'm alone and suddenly THERE IS A LOUD NOISE INSIDE MY APARTMENT! I swear I almost have a heart attack.



It is not an impressive thing.

Blockbuster missed the boat. I can't be too cruel about it though. I have missed a few boats.

Hehe. Happens to me all the time too. There should be something in web browsers and/or Youtube that recognizes the fact that the videos are being launched without user input, so that the videos don't actually start playing back.

I've had Youporn videos pop-up at work after I open my work laptop (which I have to take home every night). Mind you, I keep the laptop muted at all times, and the sudden onset of panic makes me close the tab in a nanosecond. Weeee.

I have a busy weekend with chicky-poo but it's not like we're leaving town. I could possibly meet somewhere if we can coordinate it.

I don't know if you are wanting to make plans or you will just be going with the flow. If I know where you are going to be and when, there is a decent chance I can swing something. Not for an all night party but at least for lunch or dinner or something like that. The more notice the better.
 
Muddy, how about lunch on Saturday at 1pm @ W Burger Bar? College and Yonge (10 College St) Fiver and Blitty and I are heading to the Marlies game afterwards (3pm)

If you can't do Sat, we can go to Future Bakery on Sunday. It's Bloor & Brunswick, right by my place so our hungover asses are sure to make it. I propose 1pm again. Lemme know which day you prefer.
