Random thoughts

I recall an episode of House where the patient was unable to feel pain. Seems like a great deal for about 2 seconds until you actually think it through. He (she?) had to constantly be checking themself for broken bones and various injuries because they had no way of knowing.

Maybe I'm sort of like that person and I'm going to end up in the care of a grumpy, sarcastic doctor who has no concern for my emotional well-being and just throws the rulebook out the window every time.

Wouldn't that be a fine how-do-you-do?

I wonder if I should bring my nephew some kind of chocolate bunny or something for Easter.

I am not up on the current state of parenting but I imagine that things have changed from my childhood days when I just stuffed every kind of candy down my throat and if someone gave me a 10 foot solid chocolate bunny, my reaction was, “Well that’s great. I wouldn’t have minded going bigger – but this is cool.”

That was interesting. I just got my first coffee of the day - and I went to stick it in the microwave - and there was a little baggy of mashed potatoes in there. I was meaning to have it with the prime rib last night and I thawed it and had it ready to be blasted and go on the plate - but obviously I forgot and carried on with dinner without it.

So I chucked it.

Getting more Alzheimery by the day.

Did that with a very nice meal a few weeks ago and blamed Cami for it, we were both smashed so neither of us ever found it except for same as you the next day when we went to use the microwave. It's a mind fuck when it's a full meal too because unless it's been long enough to affect the appearance of the food it still looks like a very nice meal.

But it no longer is.

Isn't in-school suspension an oxymoron?

Not really, I had in-school suspension a couple of times. ok, more like, a lot of times. What happens -at least in my school, is you are in a totally different room, close to the principals office, there is a moderator, you sit in little cubicals, kind of like an office set up, you HAVE to do any and all school work you have...it does give you a good chance to catch up and get ahead in your school work, you are not allowed to talk, your not allowed to sleep, you are not allowed to just sit there and do nothing, if you really have nothing to do, they give you a book to read or put you to work with teachers like helping to take down or put up stuff on the walls or other like things. I was lucky in that we had a really cool moderator and he would talk with me or let me draw or do something, I couldn't, and still can't sit still for too long or keep quiet for shit.

You sit there, all day, when lunch comes you go thru the lunch line, and are not allowed to talk to other students, if you do, you get an extra day or a detention on Saturday morning, (detention sucked, it was FOUR hours long), and then you go back and eat lunch in your little cube. It may or may not be the same in other schools, but in my school they were pretty strict. I would have rather have had an out of school suspension, that would have been more fun, in school suspension sucks ten times worse.
