I didn't realize they booted UConn. I thought they left because they wanted a conference that had football and this new BE was hoops only. The 30 for 30 on the BE was really good.

The BE now is old school with all small private schools in major markets, I like it. It screwed the tweener schools like uconn and Louisville who were trying to improve their football programs.

It wasn't that they didn't have a chance. It was a conference who shifted it's priorities to grab the football tv money. Most of the founding teams don't play football. The expansion of the original BE were schools with D1 football. Once they booted Louisville and Uconn out last year, they replaced them with Butler - a big tv market with no D1 football.

It could have been real interesting if Penn St wanted to join back in the 80's instead of going to the Big 10.
