I almost got arrested once. Had a warrant out for a bounced check, I had no clue about the check, or the warrant, an officer showed up at my loft to arrest me while I was at work, came home to the warrant and note on my front door. Had to go to the store and the station the next day to clear everything up.

I've been in worse situation though, but thank god I'm me, and I never actually got arrested or charged for anything.
 
It's so weird how much I really like grilled asparagus now.

Boys, I wouldn't go in the same room as the stuff in high school.


I also switched up my morning routine. Taking a hiatus from the egg whites and now doing oatmeal mixed with water and a scoop of vanilla egg white protein powder on top.

Why is it weird? You have Italian dna, it's normal to love asparagus.

Me and my father used to drive around the rural highways northwest of Toronto and pick wild asparagus from the side of the road and in the fall would dig up some plants and bring them home for his garden so he would have fresh asparagus every spring.

Daffy I can spot an asparagus plant from 50 ft away on the side of the road pal, it's a skill.

I'm going to attempt some sewing today. That doesn't happen every day.

One of the external pockets of the cargo pants I wear for work has started to peel down. If nothing is done about it, it will continue until it is dangling every which way. Well I have obtained a needle and thread and I am going to attempt to repair it.

And in a further development, I took the pants to the place across the road that does dry cleaning but also advertises alterations and repairs - guy said they couldn't do it. Too difficult a location.

I feel equal parts redeemed and bummed out.



Maybe I can crazy glue the pants. :dunno:
 
Every couple weeks I do a sporcle of capitals of the world. It gives you the country, you name the capital.

What I have noticed is that when the answer is something city, it will accept your answer before you type city. Like you don't have to type Panama City or Mexico City or Guatemala City. As soon as you type Panama etc., it accepts it and moves on.

HOWEVER, when it asks for Andorra - you can't just type Andorra. You have to fully type Andorra la Vella - which means Andorra City - except it's in a different language.


I can only come to one conclusion:

Sporcle = racist.

watch your tag lights also, thats a favorite around here.
locally the " pull ya over for either bogus reason or equipment violation reason" is the go to method
once pulled over they proceed to the "we smell mary jane. do you mind if we look through the vehicle ?" tactic
its the counties cash cow and how they keep the jail at capacity.

reading jail report every week I learn of petty traffic violations I've never heard of or thought could be used to pull ya over.
ie: dont throw a cig out window with cop behind you. every week at least 1 DUI in report that starts with stopped for littering on highway and smelled alcohol...
countless taillights, taglights, cracked window, tinted window violations also


worst is the excessive checkpoints for this little town though

last month cop shot and killed man on street behind us.
which started a shit storm naturally considering circumstances.

later that evening 2 streets the other direction from us someone decided to drive by at the trigger happy cops house and shoot and a sheriff sitting on guard.

that kinda pissed off all the law enforcement (GBI, local, the entire sheriffs office including drug unit, swat,investigators,etc..)
came home next day to a neighborhood occupied by the AR-15 toting lawmen.
. road blocks at every road that comes or goes from neighborhood.
went through 3 checkpoints in a 1/2 mile to my house...
reason being , they wanted to question everyone about the drive by and I quote , " we're gonna harass the neighborhood until we arrest someone for it." and we'll be out here doing road blocks everyday also."
WTF???
media called them out for illegal checkpoints.
