When I was younger, I was in 4-H and I had to take sewing classes. I sewed a dress once. In hindsight, I'm fairly certain that the woman that was teaching me actually did all of the work. In 7th or 8th grade, we had to sew some crazy stuffed animal in home economics. My stuffed dog looked like it had been run over several times and needed to have some limbs amputated. That makes me think that my dress sewing skills probably weren't all that fantastic.

It was horrible no? In addition to the duffle bag fiasco, we had to sew an item of clothing and on top of that, wear it in a school fashion runway type show. I made a white wrap around skirt...it was probably one of the easier things to make...but the experience was THE WORST. I think I am still traumatized.

I love to sow, but I HATE my sowing machine. I am good at it, I like making shirts and skirts mostly. My aunt makes awesome quilts that can stand the test of time. I LOVED shop class too. We had too kinds of shop in middle school, one was wood, the other was mechanics, I love them both. In high school I took entrepreneurship, and did the book keeping for the student store, and fashion design, and took electronics as well. Built a siren...don't know what happened to it though, lost it in my last move I think.

Damnit Cami. I wish u lived closer. I am trying to get rid of mom's machine! I don't know much about them, but I think it's a pretty good one and she has a lot of sewing "stuff" too.
