Apparently there's no rule against hopping forward, just up.

He's not an idiot in the same way that Steve Avery was not an idiot when he would stand in front of a goalie and just wave his hands in front of his face non-stop.
Pretty good move if it's legal. He looked like a tool and obviously pretty low points for dignity and whatever - but there was an effectiveness.
But it was clearly a loophole in the rules that had to be closed - because you can't have people being stupid like that - so they made it illegal and now someone would be an idiot to do it.
Which is what they have to do with stupid jump pitches.
