Am back in Owen Sound for some hockey action. Bunch of Habs alumni are playing some civilians for a United Way fundraiser. Guy Carbonneau, Stephane Richer, Steve Shutt and a dozen of second-rate guys.



The locals are pumped. Asked my father-in-law if he'd ever seen Steve Shutt play and he said no.

How does someone old enough to be a father-in-law not ever see Steve Shutt? He was on the dynasty team (and many years surrounding that).

That woulda been funny but no, George Armstrong is still alive at 84.

Carbonneau and Richer had a lot of 2-man breakaways. Richer faked a couple slap shots then he just slid it past the poor goalie. Hat trick.
