Pretty sure RGIII sucks. I always kind of thought he sucked, but now that the world is also realizing that he sucks it's becoming more real and more gratifying. The more he says how good he's going to be now, the more I am thinking he will suck and he will be benched for the better Cousins by week 8.

The reason? He sucks.

Muddy seattle won the Superbowl last year and quarterback Russel Wilson is supposedly more mature now and even more fluid in the offense. This could be Marshawn Lynch's last year as a Seahawk so he has a lot to play for. Star center JC Tretter will be out so the Packers will be starting rookie Corey Linsley at center versus the daunting Brandon Mebane.
 
After winning the office pick 'em pool 3 years in a row, there is no more office pool. Mostly 'cause the football guys left the company - I'm in a different pool with a bunch of ex-coworkers.

But I like the idea that I killed the office football pool.

There is a strong argument to be made for just taking all the favorites all year. A very strong argument. Kind of stupid not to really. However, so facepalmable do I find this whole thing that I actually grabbed 3 dogs this week. I was just like, fuck this nonsense, I can't be that lame and just blindly take all the favorites.

I won't do it.

Actually, an assessment of what is smart/not depends a lot on the weekly prizes versus the YTD total. If the money is weighted towards yearly record, then taking all favorites would be a sensible (though lame) thing to do. If there are big weekly prizes though, that's different. If you picked all favorites and won for a week, I imagine you would be tied with a lot of people. So if you take that 1 upset and get it right, you're probably all alone.

But I don't even know the prize breakdown. I was going to look into it but was too busy facepalming.
 
Said it before and I'll say it again - it's cheating just like the Canadien curling team yelling at opponents.

But it sells so let's encourage it while we suspend Welker for having a good time outside of work and we debate if the team name Redskins is PC or not.
