was a pretty enjoyable game.
I guess not having a bet on a game can be more fun.
I was getting a good laugh at some of the boneheaded moves.
But that decision to run the ball with 36 seconds left, when all you need is a field goal, then fumbling (I mean if you're not gonna try, take a knee) priceless.:pope:

Since its rough start in the 1990's, Major League Soccer has expanded to 20 teams, owners built soccer-specific stadiums, average MLS attendance exceeds that of the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League, MLS secured national TV contracts, and the league is now profitable.

It still sucks. Couldn't name one player in the league.

Compare the quality of play to the best European leagues.

How many players in this league would make major money in Europe? That answer is none because they are probably there already

Things change?

The gap between the level of play in MLS and EPL has been inching closer and closer every passing year.

That is clearly evident to anyone who watches MLS.

MLS is known to have faster, more physical play.

And less diving.

Things may change, but are they luring top, in-their-prime talent from overseas? (Maybe they can't because of salary caps if they exist)

The other points are good ones. I don't know a person outside of gambling forums who watch it.

Saying they are making money is like saying the CFL is making money - so what?

Agree, the profit is there but only cause the expenses (salary cap) is so low!

Yes, but still a lot IMO especially against the top Euro clubs! And the technique is far behind when I watch both here and abroad! I think against the lower level teams in the major Euro leagues they could be even! Of course I only turn on the Philly Union and after 10 minutes I give up but they have no name/no talent players!

That's the issue! American kids raw speed and psychicality over the years hasn't made up for the technique that is void from their game! MLS could use more big name players from Euro to increase popularity, but without more money from the TV contract the teams would be probably losing money! Like Tron stated plenty of fans go to the stadiums so not much cash to be made from there presently!
