I feel like Bouchard lost more points due to unforced errors and misses than by getting beaten by winners. If she ever got on a hot streak with her gambling shots she would be deadly.

She was basically right in there the whole time but just got waited out.

Also, kinda agree with Bone Bone. Don't think I'm much of a fan of women's tennis. Much like women's curling, while it has as much a chance of producing a close game as men's, it just seems like a slow-motion, clunky version of it.

Not that I have any interest in watching men's tennis either.

However I do have my patriotic angles and am all ready to cheer for Bouchard and/or Milos Raonic with any strides they may take in the coming years.

We have a fine tradition of Serbian Canadian tennis players. There is all the hoopla over Bouchard making a couple of Grand Slam semis but in fact Daniel Nestor (nee Danijel Nestorovic) who was born in Belgrade has WON a shitload of them (in doubles) playing for Canada, plus an Olympic gold medal.

Well okay that's two peeps. Not sure if that constitutes a tradition.

Maybe there has been another. I don't know.

Bouch blew it fighting back to hard from behind in the second there, this is 6-2 Maria.

For those who didn't notice, I picked the exact score of this set prior to it starting, as well as the winner. What are the odds of this you ask? Sure if you're not in the know you might be thinking every combination of 6-0 through 7-6 both ways possible but that is not true. I'd like to bring to light Roddick vs. El Aynaoui in the Quarterfinals of the Australian Open in 2003 in which the final set ended 21-19. The answer is it can go on forever which means that pick was one out of infinite combinations.

Poster Bacon. Infinitely good. :boxcleanersdaddy:

This looks painful.

I am smelling Miami as a HUGH trap tonight. They never lose two in a row, Lebron is never shitty twice in a row, in Miami, etc. etc. Popovich has Spoelstra smashed this time. Spurs win straight up and every donkey and their brother loses on the Heatles tonight.

Is it some idiotic thing going on in sports talk now where people have to say, "correct."

Could just be something that happens to be going on with a few people I happen to listen to. They keep saying correct when they could say right or mm hm or yap or things that normal people say when gabbing. Throw one correct in there and it might sound like acceptable variety but say it over and over? ---> very douchy.

Just talk like a person.

Also not big on the use of "cob" for zero. Like the Kings won game three of the final series 3-cob.

I have only heard it relating to hockey so far so I'm not sure if it is just a hockey thing - like teams having a "level of compete" - only seems to come up in hockey. Then again maybe it's just an isolated couple-of-people-I-happen-to-hear thing and it's really not a thing at all.

But no to cob. Nothing is the word you want there. 3-nothing.

Zip is acceptable.

Don't try to cool up sports talk. There are few things more fundamentally nerdy and uncool than being a sports fan. Just accept it.
