I'd been terrified to look at my score for years. Did some naughty things back in 2008/09. Anyhoo, I finally did check this morning.

755 Equifax
798 Transunion

Mind blown. Been a pretty shitty user of credit all my life. Granted I've only been using one credit card and one line of credit these past 7-8 years.

Still. Mind blown.

I'm relatively creditworthy, bitchez.

:cripwalk:

As soon as one of my two businesses takes off, I reckon. This tiny rental condo is not cutting it anymore.
Real estate is nuts in the GTA.

My parents moved to Niagara Falls last year after selling their house in the Toronto suburbs for over $600k. They bought in 2008 for $320K. They have made huge money in real estate since the early 80's when they paid off their last mortgage. If plommer outlives them he will get at least half of the estate.

I remember them telling me when they bought their first house in Toronto in 1969 for $19,900 - a townhouse in the northwest part of Etobicoke and were wondering how they were gonna come up with $200 a month for the mortgage payment.

Then I hear stories of my great grandmother buying a new house in the 1940's in the Bathurst/Queen St W. area (Crawford St) for $3500 that now sell for over a million.

Good luck Matty.

My credit score is hovering just at whatever the first break is (Great/Excellent) i think around 750. It's probably just below the top tier since last I checked it was right above and since then I've opened a revolving line of credit. Would like a good enough score to get bottom rate on an 80/10/10 in the near future.

The market handily beat this return. Usually does.
