Won't go into the whole George crap cause I didn't accept him from the jump off but something else in this thread bothers me as well. This assassin guy is too even keel. Not a collections agent, not a lawyer not a resource activist not working on behalf of any formal agency. He never loses his cool regardless of how many lame ass excuses are delivered. Fiver throws some arrows at him and he still maintains complete unemotional even keel. He seems too..................too....................not right for lack of a better word. I punched the friggin screen severl times reading through this crap and I have nothing but time invested.

I don't understand your misgiving. In assassin's situation I expect I would be just as even keel. Some people are like that.
 
Mudcat, just doesn't feel right but I am pretty skeptical with everyone involved with this George character, well outsiders in general. I'm not the most trusting person when I get an initial bad hunch.

Been wrong before though. I was wrong about Mrs. X cause I adore her now. I liked wtf originally but that soon turned out to be way off too.
 
Actually I don't know what I'm talking about. I haven't read anywhere near enough to understand assassin's situation and motivations and what his demeanour should be.

I guess I was just making a defensive stand for even-keeled people everywhere but in this specific case, I trust your assessment more than mine.

...but this POS pappa was seriously trying to sell his site to a gameliver....you should only scam corporations, not friends-

I personally wouldn't read too much into Chris' approach when dealing with George. He isn't the one who got scammed - he's merely attempting to rectify the situation on behalf of the scammees. If he were personally involved, then yes he'd probably be fired up but when you're merely a 3rd party you don't have the emotional investment. Plus, getting into a name-calling e-war with someone like George isn't going to get you anywhere as it's pretty clear George operates on a different dimension to most other people.
