The opening ceremonies were on Friday night from the Rogers Centre (Skydome).

I watched a fair chunk of it with no volume while gabbing with Jenny on the phone.

Very heavy on the multi-cultural angle, it appeared.

Kanye West is playing at the closing ceremonies. That has led to some grumbling. Some people are upset that there is not a Canadian in his place. The mayor of Toronto thought he was Canadian and had to have the facts explained to him.

Anyway Kanye West will be one of a bunch of people performing at the closing ceremonies.
