As an agnostic, there is no answer but, "I don't know."

Taking it a step further: it is not knowable and anyone who claims any certainty about anything like that is a dimwitted asshat. Only an idiot is not agnostic. It's simple. If you don't know something, just say, "I don't know." It's not so bad. Don't go making shit up or believing shit that was obviously made up by some other asshat.



There is no doubt that evolution happened (and continues to happen) but I don't believe that answers the larger question any more than, say, continental drift. That's all just stuff that's going on.

What's behind it? I don't know.

I would also have my money on this if we define god as the religious version. I don't believe there is an old man with a gray beard in the clouds pulling strings or a magic elephant-headed woman with 6 arms or whatever. Religions are so transparently man-made it's ridiculous.

But if you throw away the existing specific nonsense and define god as whatever created all this, then there has to be a god. Something created it. Even if it's just a bunch of physics and chemistry, then what causes all that? Why should there be anything?

My money is actually on a cyclic expanding/contracting universe. The Big Crunch immediately followed by another Big Bang that is essentially a new roll of the dice.

Obviously the question remains, why the extremely hot/dense singularity that makes this all possible. Why Muddy.

To go from an extremely hot and dense singularity to a 1.4 million score at Diamond Dash. The mind boggles.
 
Going to Catholic schools for 8 years naturally calling the creator God, but over the years feeling the higher being and like Muddy for me doesn't have to be a man with a beard and all that ...... in our area of South Jersey, my low estimate is 40% - 50% of K-8 schools have closed in the last 5 years! Maybe there really is the God I learned in school but he sure has plenty of screwed up men running his business!
