Speaking of shipping I will be hiring a shipping person around September for full time plus overtime and great benefits inlcuding 401k and the whole deal.

Not that you would want to live here but just thought I would mention it.

I actually am willing to relocate for a good job. I got nothing really holding me down here. I sent resumes for a couple jobs in Saskatchewan awhile back. I don't know if it would come together when push comes to shove, but I am wiling to consider.

I don't know the angles involved in working in the states though.

You are touching on something there FF. Because some of the time I actually was just kinda standing around with a thumb up my ass, I am wondering if someone thought I am not a good worker.

There was nothing much else I could do sometimes. I am given a job and I finish it and I can't find the bosses - what am I going to do? Start designing and baking a new cake? You can only sweep the floor so many times. I had no instructions on if I should go help someone in a totally different area or what.

I seriously doubt that's the case but until I can get ahold of the agency, my imagination runs amok.

Muddy there is always a broom laying around somewhere.

A sweeping body is a busy body, not a standing around with his thumb up his ass body.

I know that Wally. I actually referenced it in the post you quoted.

I am not really the kind of person who is looking desperately for approval. I am just as much needing them to prove themselves to me as the other way around. I was there and I did a good job of everything I did. I did more than enough that a competent manager would recognize that they have someone head and shoulders above a typical warehouse dude.

Honestly, if they can't recognize that, I have no confidence in them as an employer anyway.

But I still haven't touched base with the agency to get some idea what anybody is thinking.

Man, this cyber bullying thing is so ingrained I don't even know when I'm doing it now.

I reduce Cali to tears and I'm not even posting to her.
I call Oksana a whore and all I meant was she could have been a one night stand.
Now I'm crackin' on Muddy.

:redx:

Sorry pal, you failed on this explanation.

Plommer does not do "one night stands" with ladies while travelling through his fine country - he picks up streetwalkers pal.

The whole notion seems kind of far-fetched but it never hurts to have information.

I currently have a 62 year old woman doing this job. She retires in March, but we are looking to hire and train someone around September. It's very fast paced and you'll never be bored, trust me. The downside of it all is that my boss already has someone in mind who has government packing experience. This is a huge plus for the department. It really makes things much more versatile than they are now. However....

My boss is taking a different position this year. So...I am not sure how it will all shake out. My guess is it will get put on the back burner like everything else and we won't hire until next year.

Stats:

1st shift M-F 10 hours a day 6am-4:30pm

2-3 Saturdays a month is typical. These average 5 hours but can be 8 hours occasionally.

401K, Roth IRA Options
Blue Cross/Blue Shield/Dental/Vision/overall a very competitive medical plan
You start with 2 weeks of paid vacation
And get another 6 paid days for personal time
Also 2 floating holidays (so 18 paid days off a year plus holidays paid)

I actually don't know the base salary, but if I had to take a wild guess I would say around $15-$20 an hour.

That all sounds pretty good. The catch is, are they looking to hire someone from a foreign country who probably needs a couple months advanced notice to get himself prepared and situated?

And the other catch is, I may already have a job. I don't know what is going on with that.

I don't consider Canada a foreign country.
