I couldn't resist. I've always wanted a full suspension XC mountain bike and this one was 1/2 price. Carbon frame and full Fox Suspension.

Carbon fiber frames are BADASS, Mr Q. We used to be Hugh into off road cycling. Never had a carbon fiber bike because of the coin
involved but ENJOY yourself like Rick James did.

We did spend $1,500 once on a Cannondale Bad Boy back in 1999. Still have that one. It's a keeper.

I took it for a rip today and it is going to be a very fast all around bike. As macabre as it sounds, I actually like to ride in very steep conditions; There are a lot of really cool, steep dirt roads and also very bumpy rail trails where I ride so this will help me get up the big hills and protect my aging back from all the bumps on the road.

I'm going to have to do a bit of work to tune the suspension to my liking; it's still a bit bouncy so I may have to put more air in the fork and the shock but that's only mostly cause I'm still a fat bastard cause it's so early in the season.

Gonna be an awesome cycling season... It's supposed to be over 80deg F this week. That ought to melt the snow

I've now put over 100 miles on the new bike and I am loving it. I've been trying to ride 3-4 days per week for 1 hr - 1hr15min. Next week I will start upping the max time to 1 - 1/2 hours, weather permitting. By the time the mud is gone from the trails, I will be in good enough shape to rip it up...Woot.
