Basically none other than washing it and making sure that you keep the drive train well lubricated. The suspension is pneumatic so you have to make sure the pressure in the fork and the rear shock are maintained. I've never had a bike like this before so I hope that it doesn't have a ton of maintenance.

Quincy i can only imagine how smooth that bike is. I love mine and its 1/5 of that price. And the different from trek to a regular bike any joe smo buys at target/wallmart is huge. This is probably even more of a difference. What do you look for when buying a bike for 2k +? when i bought mine i wanted something that i could ride long distances and not get worn out.

This particular company hasn't changed their suspension design for a few years (mostly because they have it down pat). I wanted a top of the line bike and I didn't want to pay the sticker price. This one is a 2011 and was on clearance because they have to make way for the 2012's.

This bike will climb the steepest hills and ride the bumpiest trails while still being super smooth. I got this bike so my lower back won't hurt on the longer (2hr+) off road rides. My other mountain bike is good but it is a hardtail and my back kills me after riding on the dirt roads and trails for a couple hours. The rear shock will soften a lot of the bumps and the hydraulic disc brakes have way more stopping power than rim brakes.
