I don't like blackberry and wish we would have gone the way of the iPhone. But both of our phones broke nearly at the same time and we were bad consumers and didn't do our research. Bread hatessssssssss blackberry and I have to hear about it every.single.fucking.day. I have a government contract with Sprint with very good pricing so I don't want to get rid of the service. Stupid question, I know, but can you use an iPhone with Sprint service? I hope I am not crushed for being so stupid.

You'd have to get an unlocked phone either on ebay or from someone second hand. If you don't mind having the 3gs one, there should be a ton on the market these days.

I think that all major carriers now support the iPhone, officially or not. It's all HSDPA and ball-bearings these days.

In Canada, that's true. Canadian iPhones are all unlocked. In the USA, they have an exclusivity agreement with AT&T and software impedance for using other networks. The phones have to be unlocked in order to use other carriers.

You have Bread's email address? If so, email him and let him know how much you want for it. He has major issues with browsing the internet on his blackberry. I am actually quite surprised he hasn't smashed it against the wall.

They're locked up here too, but it seems pretty trivial to have yours unlocked by the local friendly Arab or Asian who runs a cell shop. They got ads running everywhere for unlocking services.

Yes. There is an unlock/jailbreak for the iPhone 4.

I believe that Sprint is a CDMA carrier and the iPhone is a GSM phone so I presume the answer is no.

Really? Is it just Europe then? I thought Canada had unlocked iPhones as well.
