The Blacklist is a'ight. It's not an all-timer, it's just worth watching. Spader is worth it. The main female character is nice to look at, but that's about where it ends for me. She's not horrendous, but not great either. A lot of cameo bad guys too, which makes it pretty interesting. Frank Whaley last episode. Big Frank Whaley fan. It's slightly predictable at times, but perfectly viewable if you need a show.

We will have to check that out man, ty. Leftovers finale accomplished NOTHING. We still watch because we like the show overall but if you weren't big on it in the first place you made a good call bailing.

Very happy with my bailing of the Leftovers, every time I think about it I think about what else I could have done with those wasted hours.

Like setting up an underground sex club.

Those can be rewarding, or so I hear. So ten episodes at an hour a pop and I think you made it through something like 4 of them. You set up underground sex clubs very quickly

I saw that and coincidentally I watched a movie this week where some guys did that too with the hand-slicing-for-blood-brothers.

Blitty's got a good point though, everyone here is old enough to know that the off hand being nice because it "feels like someone else" is a myth. It's nothing but inconvenience. Fuck this shit.

Finished up season 2 of Orange is the New Black which I guess means I am as up to date as I can be.

Ten pounds of catharsis in a 5 pound bag in that final episode. Got catharsis right up the wazoo at this point.

I enjoy it. I'll keep going with season 3 (whenever that comes). There are some absurdly convenient plot twists and plenny that just can't be taken seriously - but I don't feel like it's pretending to be Roots or something. It's watchable fluff.

Got it rated 7 at imdb

Gotta say: I'm pretty hot for Morello despite her glaring looniness.

A criticism that has come up repeatedly over the years in discussions of Deadwood: Hey, they didn't swear like that back then!

Which may be true. I actually have no idea. It never would have crossed my mind except people bring it up - often quite stupid people who you know have no clue - so they must be repeating something they heard someone else say - hopefully someone smarter - maybe someone who knows something.

Whatever. I don't know if the word cocksucker existed in the 1870's. I just go with it and in fact I love it as a show with some of the all-time greatest dialogue in the history of TV.

I feel like if someone is looking for a criticism based on the representation of the time, the much more glaring point: the percentage of residents of the camp with perfect, bright white teeth cannot be even close to historically accurate.

But I go with that too.

Am enjoying Shirley MacLaine and Branson-the-chauffeur telling the Downtonites to stuff it with their aristocraticisms.

Very gripping show.

1,000 Ways to Die in the West - recommended no watch, tries to be funny but fails.

Blended - I've seen a lot of people hating on Sandler for his recent taste in scripts. This is the perfect example. Update - Winona Ryder always sucked but now she's also kind of ugly as well and sucks even worse.

Neither even worth a rating.
