Anyone else watch the interactive Black Mirror episode? Thought it was neat - not the best Black Mirror by a long shot but the ability to go back and explore alternate branches was well done. Oh and it had a good LSD scene.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night.

Shoplifters / Manbiki kazoku (2018) : Four adults and two kids - all unrelated- living like a family in a cramped house struggling on part time jobs and shoplifting. As the story rolls, their past lives and crimes catch up to them. The theme that runs throughout the film is how everyone is accepting of his/her condition and fate. Strongly recommended.

Man I really wonder about this Breaking Bad movie. Obviously I am all in favor of it - but then I figure that hopes will be so high that it almost can't help but disappoint - but I definitely want it - but it is a sequel centered on Pinkman who I never found to be a fraction as interesting as Walt - but the creative people behind it are so good, I bet they will come up with something really good.

Every year I watch all the movies with Oscar nominees in a set of categories. I'm through that now and I'm not going to burden the forum with reviews of every movie I see. I watch quite a few movies.

But I will say this: in the last few days I have seen two movies from last year that I rate higher than any of the Best Picture nominees. Those are The Hate U Give and Boy Erased.

To go along with First Man.

It's in its 8th season. Some people must be liking it.

I imagine episodes are fairly short. Keep my expectations low.

It doesn't matter, they're all standalone mini-movies. There are some interreferrential bits but they're little more than Easter eggs.

I watched an episode of Black Mirror about 18 months ago. I think it was S1 E1. It was one of, if not the worst, things I’ve ever watched on TV. This is coming from someone who regular watches Miami Marlins baseball.

I think watching the first 3 episodes, puts more perspective on the series.

I’ve seen a half dozen now. Some episodes feel forced, but fulfilling afterwards.
