The Deuce may be breaking new ground. It has had plenny female nudity from the start. The occasional penis is seen. That's more rare but certainly not entirely new.

But what they have done a couple times lately is having hands on a penis. The one time - as I recall it was a simulated porn shoot - the penis was so obviously a dildo it was a bit hilarious. But there was a thing between gay guys in the most recent episode where it was less obvious.

Whatever, I can't recall ever seeing wang-handling on a mainstream TV show before.

I did just start watching that Better Call Saul. It is a pretty good show, I like how they are able to resolve the multiple issues in a believable, creative even if unlikely way. ...I thought you had to see that Breaking Bad to follow it, but no apparently not.

...That bald headed guy is a fascinating fellow,.. not sure if I mean the actor or character

Yeah, whereas BB always felt a bit cartoony, the first few seasons of BCS are surprisingly "real". IMO Christopher Guest's acting helps a lot in that department - he's just perfect as the good-apple successful brother.

This one? Nope :nope:

Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot (2018)

Some outstanding performances in this one. Joaquin Phoenix should win an Oscar for his performance (he won’t, though).

It suffers from a few very slow scenes (not nearly as slow as Better Call Saul :forsure:)

But this is great filmmaking. Well done, Gus Van Sant.

I’m curious what those who are in recovery feel about this film.

Surprised to hear that reno and Muddy aren't fans. I think it's even funnier if you've ever played in a band. It mocks all the ridiculousness of 80's rock bands, including the delusions of grandeur and the weird gear fetishism (the guitar with the hang tag that shall not be touched or even looked at, the 1959 Les Paul's famous sustain, etc.) It's a really clever mockumentary, so clever that 80's musicians who watched it back then thought it hit a little too close to home. Crazy to think that there was no screenplay and most of the dialogue was improvised.

But fine, whatever.

So what's your funniest movie ever?
