The Late Show With Stephen Colbert is pretty weird so far. Colbert doesn't seem to know what he wants the show to be.

He's a really awkward interviewer.

But then I remember that Fallon was pretty brutal when he starting hosting his first talk show.

I dunno. I don't have a good feeling about Colbert at all.

What does it ever need to be? An advertisement for Hollywood and their zany shenanigans.

One of the three channels that come in through my antenna will start showing Johny Carson shows. I'll probably watch it.
Yep, thats what I do now. Watch old tv reruns and check the internet to see how long ago all these people died.

paging doctor Bombay. Emergency! come right away.:mrquincy: ...he died a few years ago

I'll need to do some research into Pablo Escobar to see how true Narcos is. I'll wait till I have watched all of season 1.

If it's mostly accurate, it's absolutely stunning there has not been more done by Hollywood about him. He seems like the most obvious and plentiful subject ever. It's also kind of embarrassing how meager my knowledge was but I guess that goes hand in hand.

Point being: what a fuckstick.

And I have given up on that research. Not sure exactly what is fact and what is dramatic licence. Maybe I will learn more in the fullness of time.

Real good show anyway, Narcos. Solid 8 out of 10 for me. It lacks some of the style and subtlety I would want to call it an all-timer - it's very plow-straight-ahead-at-all-times - but whatever, 8 is a very high rating for me.

And it has been renewed for a season 2.

David Cronenberg is capable of some really poor stuff.

Cosmopolis was tedious and idiotic. And I just saw Maps to the Stars. It is not as tedious as Cosmopolis but it's more idiotic.

I liked some stuff in his career okay. I don't think he did anything I would rate as high as 8 but maybe a 7 or two. Eastern Promises maybe? Naked Lunch?

But this recent stuff - I find it hard to understand how it even gets made.

Cosmopolis was a 2. I think I can go a bit higher for maps to the Stars. While idiotic, it keeps moving anyway.

2.6

And now I see a preview for a movie called The Walk which appears to be Joseph Gordon-Levitt portraying that guy who walked a tightrope between the Twin Towers.

Add that to the list with Everest and the documentary about Twin Towers guy as movies I will never watch.

Peril at altitude movies ---> I will pass.

I want to make some kind of derogatory comments about Dave Franco - along the lines of him being the lesser Franco, or in fact the disposable Franco ---> but dammit, that guy is with Alison Brie who is in a very small group at the top of my list of ultimate horny-for.

Sometimes I just have to check my attitude at the door and go with
