Peaky Blinders, Season 2

Like season 1, it's 6 episodes.

It's good. Very good. Maybe just a little too head-on to get into my top couple echelons of shows, but just below that (and above the vast majority of things).

Very nice.

It has been confirmed there will be a season 3. Fall of this year is all that is being said at this point.

8.2 out 10

I felt that the absence of Megan was a strong feature. :megarock:

Other than that, it was fine. Low 7's for me - in line with the last ~5 seasons.

They made more effort to tie ribbons on things than I expected. Well, loose ribbons anyway. Pete and Trudy go off to make a fresh start - but how long before he reverts to being a cad? Over/Under - 12 seconds.

Don has learned something but will he change? Doubtful.

But that's okay.

It's been an interesting series. They did some stuff that I haven't seen done that well before on TV. Astute observation of the human condition.

There was also a fair bit of aimless drifting though.

A couple of odd and awkward forays into fat suits along the way.

What I really became increasingly aware of in this last half season was the weakness of the acting. I don't think we'll be hearing anything significant from much of anyone in that core group going forward.

Season 1 was right up there with the best seasons of anything ever for me. Season 1 was like a 9.6.

I'll have to give the whole think a rewatch at some point but not soon.

Overall, calling it a 7.6 out of 10 for me.
