Rating update:

Zero Dark Thirty (2012) upgraded from 6 to 8.

Don't actually know how I had it at 6 - must have been 6.4 rounded down - maybe I was just in a mood.

Anyway, on second viewing ---> excellent movie. Not just 8 but like 8.4.

Extremely intelligent. Beautifully directed/produced. To me it is an example of what makes the movie industry great.

I assume my initial problem was that it was such a long (2:40) procedural? There is something to that. I can't quite go 9 with it just due to the limited rewatchability due to the structure. Not that there is anything unnecessary in it but it could feel dry in the wrong mood.

Anyway, Jennifer Lawrence winning Best Actress over Jessica Chastain ---> a travesty. Argo winning Best Picture ---> I was okay with it at the time from that list of nominees ---> not any more.

A second viewing can be all-important.

See here's the thing with that..........

One place I don't go looking for nice T&A is network/cable television.

Hot women and their tits will not keep me coming back to a show. I need compelling story lines and good/great acting.

If I want hot women and tits I will head over to one of the 4000 porn sites out there.

Which leads me to something else.....

I'm noticing legions of white females (25-45 YOA) whose only requirement for loving a show is that it contains a really hot guy (s).

When meeting these women in the dating world, its a HUGH turnoff for me.

Yeah I don't like GOT because the first 2 seasons were full of nice T&A. It was just a statement of fact separate from my feelings about the show on a larger scale.

So there was no new episode of The Knick last week? Is that what people are experiencing?

Is anyone else even watching it?

The imdb listing seems to indicate there should have been a new episode - but I checked my TV listings every day (I think) and ---> no.
