Enjoying the hell out of Fargo. Lots of promise here. Not sure they even need all the bit roles with the thick accents but whatever it is funny at times, other times it's just distracting. I really like the whore of a wife character and those 2 worthless kids. More of that please. Not sure I care for the lady cop lead. She's ok. I think Martin Freeman and Billy Bob are the acting highlights for me. If he dragged that guy down stairs and through a parking garage by his tie he'd be basically dead though, not getting right up like that.

I had to go look what I had even seen Martin Freeman in. Other than playing Arthur Dent, not that much. A few small bits here and there. I remember thinking he was pretty good as Arthur Dent but I think I was so generally underwhelmed by the whole Hitchhiker movie - disappointed I think it's fair to say - that his performance maybe got lost? I don't know. I want to watch that again now.

I'm not sure how to even interpret what I am seeing with him in Fargo. I don't know if it's by design or sheer will power on his part but he is keeping his character, which I sense some people might like to shove firmly into the realm of shtick at times, and walking the line and keeping it a real person. But funny. Some of the little passing expressions are priceless.

oh wow... he plays a great role as Dr. Watson in the Sherlock Holmes series... definitely something i think you would really like... its a thinking mans show, for sure  .. let me know if you want some online links

Finished up season 1 of Game of Thrones. I will continue with season 2 but, based on buzz, I was really expecting a little more something.

It's a tricky thing, interpreting buzz. Some of the stuff that gets the most buzz is the suckiest. But I thought what I was gathering about GoT was something more up my alley.

But I wasn't sure. Who knew? Not me.

Anyway, expectations are irrelevant and the actuality of Season 1 for me?

Oh, say, 6.7 out of 10.

Fargo ep3. Going down hill for my taste. I do like the cops dynamic and all. But the King(always liked that actor btw) story is all getting pretty unbelievable. Mostly it is due to extreme arrogance of the killer. It seems the killer pre calculates everything perfectly. There is just no reason to believe things ever work that way. And why would Lester tell the cops car was in the shop?
