The Spectacular Now (2013) - Pretty good coming-of-age flic. Not bad, not bad. Not absolutely impeccable but bits of it are comparable to the wonderful (IMO) Say Anything - although it's not as good as that overall - but it has some nicely done elements.

I could not help but compare the girl, Shailene Woodley, to Jennifer Lawrence. I like Shailene Woodley better (although that's not saying a whole lot.) I've seen her (Shailene Woodley) interviewed and I find her pretty unappealing in real life, but I feel like she has a lot of potential as an actress.

7 out of 10

My kids and I saw a preview for The Lego Movie about 7 months ago.

It looked truly awful. I think they went back to the drawing board after some horrific comments of early previews.

:dunno:

I'm thrilled to hear the great ratings cause my boys will want to see this for sure.

Bosch ... new detective show... based on the book...

thought it was solid... your basic find some bones and let a fucked up detective work the case...

Everybody's all gaga over Lady Mary. Seems like every episode there is a new 1920's-style, smooth-talkin' Lothario trying out a cleverly-constructed line on her. And then there is dudeguy whom she already gave a clear NO to, coming back on the scene.

She needs to start macing people, I think.

Last episode of Girls hit a bit too close to home. Hannah gets a copywriting gig and she feels like a HUGH sellout and she's horrified at the thought of still being there in 10 years.

But at least there's free snacks.

Fok you Lena Dunham. You think you're so good with your precocious Emmy-winning shit.

:fok:

looks like we're gonna get a lot of Hannah in a swimsuit next episode :yikes:

I wonder what percentage of Girls viewership is able to relate to stuff like last night's episode. Show seems to be getting even narrower in its appeal - it's like Lena is talking directly to me and my faggottity, urban, Gen X-Y, liberal arts crew.
