Monsieur Lazhar (French Canada) - Asylum seeker from Algeria lies his way to a job as a teacher in Quebec after a teacher hangs herself in a classroom. Struggles personally to stay to curriculum in class when such subject requires humanity for the kids and for his person after the violent loss of his wife and family. Very well done, the kids do a great performance. I like how he reaches the kids in his own ways without any knowledge of pedagogy. 8.3 Matty Rains
