I do remember looking at those awhile back. An electric would be great for off road, just for the peaceful quiet and, I would think, a much better chance of seeing wildlife. I suppose a better chance of hitting wildlife, too, but I'd take me chances.
Rode to the pharmacy during lunch to replenish my supply of brain pills. On the way back, I get stuck at the corner of Queen and Bathurst because of construction. Those of you who know Toronto know that Queen/Bathurst is the HQ of a diverse group of homeless people. They just hang out there and harmlessly do their thing.
So this giant black guy starts slowly walking towards me with a blank expression on his face. Oh noes.
He gets within a foot of me and I'm about to tell him that I don't have any change.
You lucky bastid. Harley guys NEVER wave or nod to me. I try not to discriminate - I don't like riding cruisers but I appreciate looking at them and hearing them.
If it's a really nice day out, and I'm in the mountains with no other Harley drivers around, about 30% of them will wave to me and my silly yellow bike. That number drops to below 10% in less ideal conditions.
Must be around 90% for non-Harley riders. What a bunch of snobs those Harley owners are.
