Thanks cami..

Turns out my local gets more on the check but the local I am working in has a higher overall package by 1.71 an hour.

So they need to pay me prevailing wage...I also got a check for 1600 retro. They said they only needed to go back so far or whatever...I don't care...I will take whatever.

People here at work do not necessarily take kindly to random musings about weighing myself this morning and I'm wasting away.

There was a minor tempest-in-a-teacup recently because some New York writer went to Newfoundland and commented how there a lot of FAT people. All the kneejerk indignation aside, it's true. It is believed something like 70% of Newfoundlanders would be classified as obese (compared to low 20's for all of Canada.) Those numbers might be slightly off but that's the idea.

That said, I feel like it would be a great stride where I work to get our obesity number down to 70%. I'm sure I have made reference to this before. Some notable largeness. Some hefty humanity.

So yeah, comments about wasting away ---> not necessarily welcome.

They don't take kindly.

So my whole team got in trouble over a Facebook post that mentioned "a member of the senior management team" at work. It was an inside joke about one specific guy. Anyhoo, the post was completely cryptic and harmless.

But we can't have people look like they're criticizing their "superiors", so everyone who commented on the post or merely "Liked" it got a stern talking to by our VP, plus a hard copy of our "Social Media policy". My boss was part of that group.

Somehow I'm the only one who dodged that bullet.

Feelsgoodman.
