Got me a new desk at work this week. I only actually need a desk for the first third of the day when I am working in Harmony's area and I just had a little chud of a thing. Small but workable surface. I use it for my lunch hour too but all I generally do is check the news and gamelive so ---> Good enough. Didn't give it any thought.

Lo and behold people were suddenly talking to me about my new desk and - TA DA! - there it was. Big, proper desk with overhead storage cabinets and whatnot. We had to rearrange the area to even make room for it so that's what we did.

Bada-boom, bada-bing. Lookit me.

We are having a national meeting on Tuesday. It is an off-site thing where we will have a couple hours of boardroom stuff - financial results, mission statement status, vision for the future and whatnot - followed by food, drink and laser tag.

I have seen the term "team-building" lobbed around.

Oh boy.

Laser tag is something new for me. Not sure how I feel about it.

I asked the question of the main organizer, "Is there running involved?"

I have been quite athletic at times in my life but I don't think I will have a lot of running in me on Tuesday. Running is something I kinda need to build up to.

Anyway the answer is no. No running. I was probably thinking more of paintball. I have seen some paintball setups which I simply would not want to deal with just now. Big spaces and running. No thanks.

Actually though, when I think about it, even at my advanced years, I would still be one of the most athletic people there. I know I have talked about it in probably a few different threads but ---> we got chubbos a'plenty.

Whatever - it's not about running. So we'll see what laser tag is about.
