Look at salaries for NASA engineers... still below private sector aeronautical engineers im sure, but I bet more than the astronauts.

They're traditionally pilots, ex military types. Doubt many have BS degrees, let alone from MIT.

A lot of them hold scientific PhD's, but yeah, I suppose that's not required if they just need to fly a shuttle.

Maybe JL can start by going to space, then transition into a vacuous yet lucrative Hollywood career.

We generally get pizza and no song. I think I prefer pizza since I don't generally eat desert at lunch and it saves me from having to bring or buy lunch. But I guess cake is a treat that I dont really have often...

I've had two pieces of birthday cake. I had that previous notion about getting a DQ Blizzard since today is kinda like a Friday and that's what I do on Fridays. But now I'm thinking maybe I should reconsider. That's a lot of dessert for one day.

Well no, I guess I should still get the Blizzard - just to be safe.

Wouldn't want to be unsafe.
