We're a distributor, we only sell wholesale to retailers. But the bikes are available direct to consumers on AliExpress. Prices there aren't great though. I think the manufacturer wants to support their distributors and retailers.

They asked me what territory I was willing to cover and I gave them the territory that I was going to be assigned at the previous job I intervewed for. Basically all of southern Ontario. But the company itself currently sells across Canada and the US. That's why we're planning to go to California in April. Trump's tariffs would throw a wrench in that plan, for sure.

(And from what I understand, distributors don't take ownership of any product so the tariff would have to be passed on to the retailer.)

I assume it's a Chinese manufacturer?

Is it common in the bikes industry for every body to build in China? even those fancy $10k bikes tron likes? or there's some brands that build in the US, Germany, Italy?

Chinese brand, correct. It was originally a German brand that got purchased by Chinese interests. They don't pretend to be German today.

Vast majority of frames are built in China, even the high end stuff. There are some wheel makers that aren't in China - Mavic is a huge one (EU made.)

The water bikes you mentioned, are you referring to eFoil? What do you know about eFoil? Do you know how to swim?

I mentioned water bikes? (No.) Powered surfboards.
