I have been summoned to a special lunch tomorrow. About 6 of us will be getting together with the big BIG boss and discussing the issues.

Our lunch was put off until tomorrow.

We are not going out somewhere; it will be in one of the conference rooms. Food will probably be Subway or something.

It was a general session of tossing ideas around between a selection of bosses and 4 experienced employees who are, I think it's fair to say, seen as having a more calm, mature perspective than most.

Safety, communication, procedures, company culture yada yada.

There was a lot of general discussion. A couple of actionable things came out of it.

It was nice to be asked.

Lunch was a tray of catered sammiches and a pasta salad and a selection of desserts.

Gotta say, it is looking EXTREMELY unlikely that I will be repeating as Top Dog this time around. Due perhaps to a loss of focus in the early months of the new award year, I have had a (relative) spate of errors.

I believe I can afford 1 error between now and October 1st. I might possibly get away with 2 depending on how many lines I can pick. But probably 1.

Not impossible but I would set the odds at +5000.

Nope. Not gonna happen.

I hung in longer than I expected but nope, not this time.

Maybe next year.
