I am now going to count the little injuries on my hands. Paper/cardboard cuts, barked knuckles, spots where maybe the teeth of a tape gun caught me, blood spot under a thumbnail etc . . .

If you include the first few inches of the wrist - which I do - 11 right now.

Nice. Keep 'em in prime numbers and you should be fine.

Sitting at 4073 as we speak. Still okay.

Got moved to yet another area yesterday. Specialty packing.

Sometimes we sell stuff that requires special treatment for shipping and that all comes to me now.

I'm kinda bummed. I was all getting into chasing the production numbers - and now this slows me right down. Everybody knows that so I am not expected to get to 225 like everyone else - but, as I say, I was kind of enjoying the chase.

Guess I'll just have to get there despite being slowed down. Guess I'll just have to be that good.

Bitches.

the man is putting you down

236 today. Despite quite a few specialty orders. Leap-frogged over the regular production standard of 225 right up to ---> 230-fucking-six.

Bitches.

It appears I got a raise. Just looking at my latest pay stub and I am making $0.75/hr more than previous.

I guess that is for switching to the Sun - Thurs shift.

I assume it must be that. You'd think someone might have said something out loud if that was happening but okay.

But okay, yeah, no - deleting all my accounts at indeed, workopolis, monster. Left them up because, you know, why not? Maybe something miraculous will surface.

But yeah, no, responses to my resume come in by email and phone - but nothing even in the neighborhood. I guess I knew that would be the case but I guess I had to prove it.

I get the occasional notification of a job with terms that would have been eye-opening before, but now it's just a nuisance.

Adios.

You ever have one of those days where coworkers want to talk to you about what they're doing on the upcoming weekend and you just don't give a fuck? You nod and make the required follow-up comments but you almost think they can (or should but they're too stupid) tell that you're actively disinterested in hearing them talk. Yeah, I never have those days.

What are you doing this weekend?

I made my first purchase from work on our employees-buy-at-cost terms. Split a case of deluxe toilet paper with Jenny.

So I went to try out a roll and the problem was, it was actually too robust for my toilet paper dispensing set-up. Too fat. Not by a huge amount but it had to be unwound a few times before it would spin freely in there.

Very fine toilet paper though, I must say. Bursting with toilet papery goodness.
