Not exactly sure the origin. I believe it's from an old ad campaign, possibly from the days of Don Draper. Could google that shit I'm sure.


Anyway, whatever, now we're cooking with gas.

Except microwaves.

The new microwave is radically changing my life. I hope I can adjust.

Basically what happens is, everything is more stubborn on it. There is a button that you press to open the door - and the pressure required makes the whole unit slide on the counter a bit. The old one didn't have a button. You just pulled the door open and it took very little yankable force so the unit just stayed put.

Even just pressing the regular number buttons on the new one requires enough pressure to make it slide a bit where the old one was more free and easy with the pressability.

So I keep finding my microwave all crooked on the counter. Gotta get in the habit of holding it down while I press stuff I guess.

Or just not worry about the crooked.

Or kill myself.
