I guess I need a new one. Just made popcorn and there was hissing and fritzing and zizzling from within, and some sparks visible in there too.

There was a smell of electrical whatnot. Doesn't seem like a situation to fart around with too much (although I did let the popcorn finish.)

She's an old microwave (13-15 years ???). Pretty cheap model to begin with. I can't complain about the service rendered.

I guess I have to do that tomorrow.

I almost called it a microwave oven but then I thought, is that what they are called or is that some lingering memory from the early days of the technology? Microwave oven? Or just microwave?

Just microwave feels right.



Whatever, few kitchen items as indispensible as a microwave these days.

I am the healthiest person I have ever met. Apparently I have nutrients to spare.



My morning routine includes making coffee and then zapping it for 39 seconds because coffee makers are never hot enough.

I had already set aside a chicken thigh and half a sausage to chop up and put in spaghetti for my dinner tonight. The spaghetti itself is a Michelina's thing ---> microwave.

Gotta have a microwave. Other than a fridge, it's the #1 thing.

I mentioned this situation to Harmony this morning - and I used the term microwave oven - and she got a puzzled look on her face and quietly repeated that to herself - microwave oven, microwave oven - it was like she was remembering some ancient term that she once saw in a Dickens novel that she studied in high school.

So yeah, I guess just microwave.
