Monday was my day. Had final mediation (didn't know it was going to happen but still did it) and then judge came back and signed off. Have to wait for passport... normally 2wks for a kid but they said it'd be a bit longer just so Immi could get court papers straight but it's all done. Still going to take me a month or two. Need to pull my super, say bye to everyone properly, donate/sell stuff, etc. Plus I'm tripping a bit. It's one thing to say I want to leave... it's another to do it. With a kid. On my own (no work sorting it all out like every other country move). So I'd say maybe April? May give me hives soon lol

haha was wondering when the rationale part of u was gonna kick-in but in true tradition that would go against ur very nature...

So long as the reasons for leaving are stronger than the reasons for staying then ur doing the right thing imo...
 
You should have seen the questions my inlaws were asked by the local people when we went back home. Hey where are you from? South Dakota. Is that in New York? No it's a different state. So is it like an hour from New York?

No, not sure who I'll work for, if anyone really. Don't really need to do it but I enjoy working for whomever it is so who knows. I had always wanted to check CR out... probably 2yrs ago? I had started a thread at sbr asking for opinions: vegas vs cr when you have a child. Two places I've wanted to gypsy through for awhile for different reasons. Have a house in Tucson and a place still in LA so I thought Vegas would be practical but most vetoed Vegas family wise. Some did the same for cr but not to the same extent. So I'm just going to get a temporary rental for maybe 4-6mths and see how it goes. If i'm not comfortable for the dude, i'll have to move. I don't give an f really at this point, just want the freedom to go. Would never wish this shit on anyone.

let's get it on with our commie selves my darling... soon! we can eat and make roguey try every bite... omgosh, i just clicked that i have no real ee relatives left unless i go home. reno, i may have to adopt/steal you. i lost my auntie and uncle in the past 6mths - both hard core ukes - and really, i think they're a dying breed lol. not funny but you know what i mean. if i don't try for the little dude, that whole side of my culture will be gone and that's hugely who i am. fucking hell. shit that's my whole culture. ugh anyway, i'll come back when i'm not working xo
