i flipped back and forth between rubicon and something else and i feel like i missed some stuff, so imma go back and watch it again and see whats going on...i hate to give up on it now

Plain old surveillance shit. The guy doing surveillance is being surveyed by the people who employ him so he's doing his own counter-surveillance on them. On top of that half of last night's episode was about a moral conundrum that you'd expect those kinda people to have overcome a long time ago in their path to a career in covert surveillance/spying/anti-terrorist shit.

It's not that bad but they manipulated the audience by throwing a lot of cryptographic shit in the premiere, as if the series were going to be an unraveling puzzle a la LOST. With last night's episode it's clear that it's about to become good ol' cat-and-mouse. Do not want.

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I recently watched all the episodes I'd skipped. And it looks like I was right, there won't be a 2nd season - the conspiration plot is progressing way too quickly, looks like they will wrap it up over the last 2 episodes of the season.

Wasn't all that bad, although two of the major characters (Will's immediate supervisor and the firm's big boss) are played by mediocre actors who have some cheesy bad-guy lines/scenes to deal with, to boot.

i was looking around and couldnt find anything solid that said there wouldnt be an season 2... the last few episodes have been pretty dang good imo...i can see them leading into something for a new season.
