why should Kovalchuck give a fuck? Players get thrown from one team to another like nothing. It's not like he was born and raised in New Jersey or is abandoning career long friends and teammates.

Well, the biggest reason to give a fuck is that he just lost out on a $102 million deal. He'll be lucky to get anything near that with teams playing by the rules; his next best offer from the Kings was $80 million, and it wasn't as front-loaded. And that deal may not even be on the table anymore.

Interesting that the arbitrator quashed the deal. Not sure how he could have done so with the past Pronger, Hossa etc. signings. I know the signing was pretty "fish", but it was no different than those deals signed by Pronger, Hossa etc. It really is a head scratcher for me.

Anyways, reg season in under 2 months away. preseason/T-Camp is 1 month away. Kaberle will be traded and my Leafs will make the playoffs this year.
