It was a girl, and we only met and paid her the one time. She gave us all sorts of useful info and guidance re: investing in index funds. Toadally worth it.

I have a bourbon budget now. Wife can't say nothing about it. It's in the budget.

Like no shit - I am doing this thing up. Stuff that comes up every six months or every year - renters insurance, license stickers - I will be breaking down and allotting for it monthly.

Setting funds aside and whatnot.

I intend to get very formal with everything. Scientific.

This is the kind of thing that is fun to me. The math and science part.

coffee shops 35/month
fast food 50/month
groceries 700/month
restaurants 175/month

so all in all 965/month for eating and imbibing

Rarely. Just two days ago we walked out of the apartment to get shake shack ice cream... By the time we had gotten there I had convinced us that it was cheaper (and healthier) to just go to the grocery store and get two pints of ice cream and some cones. :jewish:

Actually now that I think of it we do allocate restaurants to our joint discretionary (vs. our grocery budget which is $500)... I still don't think we spend much on restaurant food.
