lunch at Ikea for 2 on a budget

2 hot dog and drink combo=$2.00
1 slice of pizza=1.75

share the drink, using refills

3.75 for lunch for two

then wife got frozen yogurt cone for $1.00 and blew the budget

Bought a thing last week called a Butchers Box. It had

4 beef steaks
4 pork chops
4 chicken drumsticks
8 sausages
16 hot dogs


for 25 bucks.

I'm still deciding how good a deal that was. You have to eat the steaks 2 at a time. The steaks are not big.

So basically it is the meat part of 7 meals - plus the hot dogs and a couple leftover sausages. So I guess that amounts to another 6 or 7 meals depending on how they are distributed. 14-ish meals altogether - of varying quality - for $25.

It's a pretty good deal for the budget-conscious shlep, I'm thinking.
 
We had this budget computed for us by this financial planner, used to refer to it and move money about as per her instructions. Wife is now pulling a grown-up salary so my contributions are being adjusted down. Feels like a HUGH win boys.
