I don't know. I always wondered about that..does seem low..the living room next to it has a stone fireplace that goes up to a loft that overlooks the living room so really no ceiling in there.

There was also a whole bunch of unused space on 2nd level for no apparent reason. A LOT of space. It was already framed. I had a wall knocked out and made a giant office/closet, but the doorway isn't finished ...it's just cut drywall. and never did get the vent in correctly.

I should fly you out to Denver and have you fix up some things before I put it on the market.

Yeah the space thing was crazy. Really crazy. Someone thought maybe they ran out of time on the project and just closed it off as it was already framed and hidden behind a wall. Most people didn't know that space existed. Kind of a long L shape. It was a close call on code with there being enough windows or something to light it because of the funny shape I think...at least that is how I remember it, but it passed inspection, and I got it done by a friend's friend cheaply, so yay me.

I know it had something to do with fire escape and/or light...but definitely related to the window... I'm thinking light. In any case, we got it done. It turned out pretty well, but needs some touch ups.
